Protest against AKP figures: 'End your trade with Israel'. 'We are ashamed'

Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Mehmet Özhaseki and AKP Bursa Deputy Mustafa Varank, who attended an opening ceremony in Bursa, were protested over trade with Israel.

Protest against AKP figures: 'End your trade with Israel'. 'We are ashamed'

While Özhaseki was speaking at the Bursa Yıldırım Municipality Mevlana Urban Transformation Area Key Delivery Ceremony, a group protested the minister by unfurling a banner that read, "We are ashamed of the trade being conducted with Israel."

The banner was taken down following the intervention of security guards. It was reported that those who unfurled the banner were taken into custody.

Meanwhile, as Özhaseki and Varank were walking toward their vehicle, a citizen said, "We are ashamed of the trade with Israel; the government should listen to the voice of this people. Trade with Israel is a betrayal of Palestine. We condemn you. Show some sensitivity."

Following the incident, it was reported that the 3 individuals who carried out the protest were taken into custody.
