Protests continue in front of the Israeli Consulate General in Istanbul following the bombing of the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza by Israel.

Members of the Association for Free Thought and Educational Rights (Özgür-Der) gathered at the Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque after evening prayers and marched in a procession to the Israeli Consulate General building.

Carrying Palestinian and Turkish flags as well as placards, the group protested Israel's bombing of the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza.

Speaking on behalf of the group in front of the Consulate General, Özgür-Der Vice President Kenan Alpay stated that Israel is engaging in a ruthless and systematic genocide in Palestine, which he claimed is being supported unconditionally by the United States and European Union countries.

Alpay said, "With the support of the West, Zionists have systematically occupied Muslim lands through terror, blackmail, displacement, massacres, and assassinations. However, all these barbaric and brutal attacks have unfortunately been translated into international literature and media language as 'opening new settlement areas.' These are not settlers; they are thieves, murderers, and enemies of humanity."

During the statement, a few fireworks were thrown from the crowd toward the building. The group later dispersed.

PROTEST FROM THE ISTANBUL CHAMBER OF PHYSICIANS AND DİSK

Members of the Istanbul Chamber of Physicians, DİSK, the Labour Party (EMEP), the Workers' Party of Turkey (TİP), and the Women's Assemblies also gathered separately in front of the Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha Mosque to support Palestine and protest Israel.

In statements made on behalf of the groups that marched to the Consulate General building while chanting slogans, Israel's attack on the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza was condemned.

Some protesters continue to wait in front of the Consulate General.

Meanwhile, police teams taking security measures on Büyükdere Street during the protests managed the flow of traffic in a controlled manner.
