Rainfall fills the dams: İSKİ February 4 figures

The lack of sufficient rainfall during the winter season last year in Istanbul had increased public interest in dam occupancy rates. The water level in the Pabuçdere Dam, which has the lowest occupancy rate, was measured at 42.29 percent. The highest occupancy rate was found at the Elmalı Dam, where water levels are at 91.29 percent.

The occupancy rates of the 10 dams in Istanbul have become a subject of interest according to data released by the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (İSKİ) on February 4, 2024. Water levels in the megacity's dams have increased due to the impact of recent effective rainfall. For the first time in months, the total water volume has exceeded 70 percent, reaching 72.47 percent.
