Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı had claimed: Fatih Altaylı summoned to testify

Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı had made a series of allegations regarding Fatih Altaylı on his social media account.

Kütahyalı had stated, "There is activity within the state. The Muslim and conservative wing of the regime wants Altaylı arrested. Something is going to happen to Altaylı, but I don't know what it will be. The fact that his face was smashed by a child the age of the religious man's son who was carrying the Islamic flag, and that Altaylı praised this violence, has tripped the breakers in the Muslim wing, and even in the Nationalist-Conservative wing within the state."

ALLEGATIONS CONFIRMED

The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an ex officio investigation into Altaylı for "praising a crime and a criminal" regarding his social media post saying "Well done" (Eline sağlık) concerning the suspect E.A., who physically assaulted İsmail Aydemir following the "Mercy to Our Martyrs, Support for Palestine, Curse on Israel" march held in Istanbul on January 1.

SUMMONED TO TESTIFY

On the other hand, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched a separate ex officio investigation into Altaylı for "publicly inciting a segment of the public to hatred and hostility and insulting them" due to the remarks he used regarding those who participated in the "Curse on Israel and the PKK Rally" held in Ankara, in a video he published on a video-sharing platform on December 24, 2023.

It has been learned that Altaylı has been summoned to testify as a suspect within the scope of these investigations.
