It has been learned that pro-government journalist Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, who was detained as part of an investigation into illegal betting and money laundering, did not provide his phone password during his police interrogation.
As part of an investigation into illegal betting and money laundering conducted by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, simultaneous operations were carried out in 21 provinces, and 128 people, including pro-government journalist Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, were detained.
While Kütahyalı was being brought from Istanbul to Adana, new details regarding the investigation have emerged.
Speaking on Sözcü TV, journalist Emrullah Erdinç stated that during his police interrogation, Kütahyalı did not provide his phone password to the teams wishing to conduct a digital examination.
Erdinç noted the following regarding the matter:
"Rasim Ozan did not provide his phone password. Rasim's interrogation has begun in Adana. All suspects will be referred to the courthouse tomorrow. The Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has conducted a meticulous process; it is not a sudden event but a process that has been ongoing for a long time. The units conducting the investigation stated that the evidence they have is very solid.
There were interviews conducted by the police with the detained suspects. In those interviews, Rasim did not accept the accusations against him and claimed that the money entering his account was for investment purposes. In the investigation, a 'safe' allegation is being put forward regarding Rasim."
