Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı’s remarks on Öcalan spark backlash: 'He could enter via by-election'
Rasim Ozan Kütahyalı, known in the public eye as ROK, has sparked widespread reaction with his comments regarding PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan and former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş.
Kütahyalı suggested that Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Sırrı Sakık would go to İmralı in January, and that if Abdullah Öcalan were to announce the dissolution of the organization and the burying of weapons, he could play a role in the political process.

In this context, Kütahyalı claimed that if Öcalan were to "show courage," three members of parliament in Hakkari would resign, and that Abdullah Öcalan and Selahattin Demirtaş could enter Parliament through a by-election.
According to the statement in question, he indicated that Abdullah Öcalan could be a parliamentary candidate in the first spot, and Selahattin Demirtaş in the second spot.
These remarks drew significant backlash on social media.
While many social media users described Kütahyalı’s comments as "inciting" and "provocative," some users also called on judicial authorities to take action.
Users argued that prosecutors of the Republic of Turkey should initiate proceedings regarding Kütahyalı’s words.
