Reaction to report originating from TRNC: Legal process begins

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement regarding an article published by a Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)-based media outlet titled "5 missing videos that the MIT is after: A network of dirty relations reaching the highest levels of the state..."

The written statement included the following expressions:

*The allegations made against our Ministry and our Honorable Minister in a report featured in a Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus-based media outlet are entirely untrue.

"SLANDER AND SMEAR CAMPAIGN"

*Legal action will be taken in response to these baseless allegations, which are not supported by any concrete evidence.

*It is an extremely irresponsible attitude for these lies, which aim to damage the credibility of state institutions and the reputations of individuals, to be repeated in public by certain circles thereafter.

*This systematic slander and smear campaign, conducted by repeating irrational and illogical fabrications, should not be given any credence.
