Released from prison on leave, he was shot in the neck and lost his life

In the Osmangazi district, while walking with a friend on Altıparmak Street, one of the city's busy areas, Hüseyin U. was fired upon with a handgun by an unidentified attacker who had been waiting on the side of the road on a motorcycle. The attacker, who critically wounded U. by firing a single shot into his neck, fled the scene on the motorcycle.

Following reports from bystanders, 112 Emergency Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Hüseyin U., who was taken to Çekirge State Hospital, could not be saved despite medical intervention. It was learned that Hüseyin U. had been released on leave 10 days ago from the prison where he was serving time for "theft".

Police teams, who took statements from eyewitnesses and examined security camera footage from nearby businesses, have launched an effort to capture the person who carried out the armed attack.

The camera recordings show Hüseyin U. walking on the side of the road with his friend, the attacker speeding away on his motorcycle after firing the shot, and bystanders scattering. The footage also shows the person who was with the victim entering a side street and running away.
