"THE PASSING OF FERDİ TAYFUR HAS TAKEN A PIECE OF ME AWAY"

Bahçeli included the following statements in his post:

"On these days when we are observing the blessed Three Months and the Regaib Kandili, a day when I pray to be worthy of the mercy, compassion, and forgiveness of Almighty Allah, we have lost Ferdi Tayfur, the exceptional artist of Turkish folk and Arabesque music. He was my brother, a master of voice and lyrics who interpreted the lands of my heart. He was a devoted, self-sacrificing, and patriot artist who earned his honest living with the sweat he shed in the cotton fields of Adana, and then climbed to the peaks of Turkish music to establish a throne in the hearts of millions. Emmioğlu is now an orphan. The scorched and burning voice of Çukurova, which came to mourn a poor soul who died with the sound of bleating lambs, has unfortunately left his fans in sorrow. Truly, words are stuck in my throat. I cannot find the words to describe or express my sorrow. The passing of Ferdi Tayfur has taken a piece of me away. May he find peace where he rests. May his place be in heaven. May Almighty Allah treat him with His mercy. May our condolences go out to our noble nation, his loved ones, and all of us."
