Reprimand penalty for

The reprimand decision regarding the "Freedom for Can Atalay" and "We will not allow the Court of Cassation coup" banners hung at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University by TİP students has been overturned by the Administrative Court.

A reprimand penalty had been issued due to the "Freedom for Can Atalay" and "We will not allow the Court of Cassation coup" banners hung by TİP students at Mimar Sinan University. The administrative court cancelled the penalty.

The reasoning for the decision included the following statements, citing the Constitution and various Constitutional Court rulings:

"..as it has been concluded that it falls within the scope of freedom of thought and expression, which is regulated by the Constitution and International Conventions that are clearly binding on administrations and courts, and whose framework is also drawn by the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court, no compliance with the law has been found in the subject matter of the lawsuit regarding the plaintiff's punishment with a reprimand penalty."
