Republic Day enthusiasm across Turkey: Citizens celebrate the 100th anniversary

The 100th anniversary of the Republic, proclaimed under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, is being celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country.

Ceremonies for Republic Day are being held in all provinces, from Istanbul to Ankara, and from Malatya to Diyarbakır.

Folk dance performances were presented during the ceremonies. Citizens accompanied the anthems by waving their flags.

KOCAELİ

In the Gebze district of Kocaeli, a ceremony was held at the City Square as part of the October 29 Republic Day and the 100th anniversary of the Republic celebrations.

KAYSERİ

A ceremony was held in Kayseri to mark October 29 Republic Day and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.

Following the reception held at the Kayseri Governor's Office, a moment of silence was observed and the National Anthem was sung during the program at Republic Square.

ISTANBUL

In Istanbul, primary school students celebrated Republic Day wearing 100th-anniversary t-shirts. Additionally, a ceremony was held at Istanbul Airport to mark the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

The "100th Year Republic Women's Run" was held on the 3rd Bridge to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic.

KIRKLARELİ

In Kırklareli, a ceremony was held at Freedom and Democracy Square as part of the October 29 Republic Day and the 100th anniversary of the Republic celebrations.

DIYARBAKIR

In Diyarbakır, a ceremony was held as part of the October 29 Republic Day and the 100th anniversary of the Republic events. During the ceremony, the Metropolitan Municipality Band and a folk dance troupe performed, and students recited poems.

Helicopters flew over the ceremony area during the parade of the ceremonial units.

BİNGÖL

A ceremony was held in Bingöl to mark the October 29 Republic Day and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. Athletics competitions were held at the City Stadium during the ceremony.

ÇORUM

In Çorum, a ceremony was held at Kadeş Peace Square as part of the October 29 Republic Day and the Republic's 100th-anniversary celebrations.

During the ceremony, 100 people performed a "Çorum Halayı" (traditional folk dance) show under the coordination of the Çorum Municipality.

MALATYA

The October 29 Republic Day was celebrated with a ceremony in Malatya.

Following the acceptance of congratulations at the Governor's Office for the October 29 Republic Day, Governor Ersin Yazıcı, accompanied by 2nd Army Commander Lieutenant General Metin Tokel and Metropolitan Mayor Selahattin Gürkan, greeted the ceremonial troops and citizens from a vehicle on İnönü Street.
