According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology; the country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with rain and showers in the surroundings of Hatay and the south of Southeastern Anatolia, and sleet and snow in the coasts of the Western Black Sea, the Central and Eastern Black Sea, the southeast of Eastern Anatolia, as well as the surroundings of Kastamonu, Ardahan, and the southern parts of Ağrı.

The precipitation is expected to be heavy snow in the south of Muş and the high altitudes of eastern Siirt, and locally intense snow in the surroundings of Bitlis and Hakkari, the high altitudes of Trabzon, Rize, Artvin, and Giresun provinces, the south of Van, and the east of Şırnak.

Icing and frost are expected in the west of Marmara and in the inner and eastern regions, along with local mist and fog. There is an avalanche risk in the high altitudes of the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea and in the north and east of Eastern Anatolia.

AIR TEMPERATURE: It is expected to decrease by 2 to 5 degrees in the northern and inner parts, with no significant change expected elsewhere.

WIND: Generally expected to blow from northerly directions, and from southerly directions in the southeastern parts of the country, light to occasionally moderate, and strong (40-60 km/h) in Marmara and the Central Black Sea.

STRONG AND HEAVY SNOWFALL WARNING: Since the precipitation is expected to be heavy snow in the south of Muş and the high altitudes of eastern Siirt, and locally intense snow in the surroundings of Bitlis and Hakkari, the high altitudes of Trabzon, Rize, Artvin, and Giresun provinces, the south of Van, and the east of Şırnak, caution and measures should be taken against negative conditions such as disruptions in transportation, flooding, icing, and frost.
