Resignation challenge from Varank to Deniz Zeyrek's 'civil servant salary' warning

Zeyrek recently made various allegations regarding former Minister of Industry and Technology and AKP Bursa MP Mustafa Varank during a live broadcast on Sözcü TV.

Deniz Zeyrek said on the program, "How can Mustafa Varank build a triplex villa on a 2-dekar plot of land in Ankara's Angora neighborhood, or buy a 100 million [lira] villa with a pool in Istanbul's Zekeriyaköy, while earning a civil servant's salary?

Now he will say 'It's not true,' but they bought it under someone else's name and then sold it. I have the documents and photos."

"IF YOU HAVE EVEN A SHRED OF DIGNITY"

Mustafa Varank responded harshly by quoting the post containing Deniz Zeyrek's allegations on his own account. Tagging Deniz Zeyrek's X account, Varank said, "If you have even a shred of dignity, produce that photo of me in the pool you claim to have images of; I will resign from all my duties tomorrow." Varank noted the following in his post:

"Forget a '100-plus million' villa with a pool in Zekeriyaköy, I haven't even bought a 1+1 apartment. If you have even a shred of dignity, produce that photo of me in the pool you claim to have images of; I will resign from all my duties tomorrow.

Let alone two dekars of land, I have never owned a house in Angora. If you are curious, we live in a house in Beytepe that we built with our own savings together with my wife, who is an interior designer.
