Resolution commission to meet for the third time: Final call to IYI Party from Kurtulmuş!

The commission established in the TBMM as part of the new resolution process, which was architected by MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli and dubbed 'Terror-Free Turkey' by the government, has begun its work.

The National Solidarity, Brotherhood and Democracy Commission held its first meeting on August 5 and its second meeting on August 8.

The commission has begun preparations for its third meeting in the new week.

According to NTV, proposals regarding the agenda will be received from political parties at the 14:00 meeting, and Commission Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş will share his own proposals with the members. Additionally, members of parliament will bring forward the names of individuals they request to be heard by the commission.

MEMBERSHIP DISTRIBUTION AWAITED

Due to the IYI Party not providing members, three seats remain vacant, and the determination of new members has not yet been made.

According to information obtained, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş will contact the IYI Party one last time to attempt to reach an agreement regarding membership.

If the IYI Party does not change its decision, the three vacant seats will be redistributed according to the current distribution. In this case, the AKP, CHP, and DEM Party will each gain one new member.

In this scenario, Celal Fırat from the DEM Party and legal expert Umut Akdoğan from the CHP will join the commission.

No official statement has been made yet from the AKP side regarding the new member.
