Sad news from Fatih Ürek, he has passed away

Fatih Ürek was rushed to the hospital after suffering a heart attack while having breakfast at his home on October 15; the singer, whose heart had stopped for 20 minutes, was resuscitated following medical intervention.

Sad news has arrived regarding Ürek, who was receiving treatment in intensive care. The 59-year-old Ürek passed away despite all interventions.

WHO IS FATİH ÜREK?

Fatih Ürek was born in Erzurum as one of the 4 children of factory worker Şerafettin Ürek. Ürek's family migrated to Bursa when Fatih Ürek was just 1 year old.

At the age of 15, he joined the extra cast of the Bursa State Theatre. Working in the theater until the age of 20, Ürek took lessons from Mahir Canova. Having to leave the theater for various reasons, Fatih Ürek worked in a furniture store for a while.

Fatih Ürek's life changed when he decided to become a singer. He took the stage at Taylan Gazinosu and subsequently moved to Istanbul.

Fatih Ürek released his first album, 'Yaktı Yaktı', under the Raks Müzik label in 1993.

In his 1995 album 'Sen İki Gözümsün', Fatih Ürek included classical songs alongside pop songs, and in 1997, he portrayed Fred Flintstone in the program 'Reyting Hamdi'.

Following a 13-year hiatus, the songs 'Hadi Hadi' and 'Sus' from his 2008 album remained at the top of music charts for a long time.

Ürek, who appeared in commercials in 2011, hosted the cooking competition 'Gelinim Mutfakta', which aired on Kanal D between 2018 and 2020. The artist, who served as a judge on the competition 'Kuaförüm Sensin' between 2019 and 2020, most recently hosted the competition program 'Gelin Görümce'.
