Scandal at preschool: 1.5-year-old child scalded by coffee

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on the afternoon of October 25 at the Özel Çam Preschool in the central Çukurova district. It is alleged that coffee was spilled on 1.5-year-old Aden Aslan at the preschool. The preschool administration then took the little girl to the hospital and notified the child's mother, Aslı Aslan, from there.

Upon arriving at the hospital, the mother learned that her daughter had 2nd-degree burns on her face and body. After receiving treatment at the hospital, the little girl was discharged, and the family filed a complaint against the preschool administration.

Mother Aslı Aslan said, "The preschool administration is claiming the incident happened by the stairs and refuses to provide camera footage, saying there is no camera. This incident does not look like a cup of coffee burn. My daughter's neck is peeling, and her arm has blistered. Her face peels even when applying cream. My child is in pain. We don't even let our children drink anything hot in the room, what kind of irresponsibility is this? The owner of the institution was with us at the hospital and tried to take our complaint form while we were worried about our child's life. The doctors did not give them the paper. We will not let this matter go."

The school administration, in its statement, noted that the coffee was spilled on Aden due to a collision between a teacher holding a coffee cup and another teacher, that they notified the family while taking the child to the hospital out of concern for her health, and that administrative action would be taken against the teachers in question.
