Schools closed in three provinces due to snowfall

Due to the impact of snowfall, education has been suspended in some provinces. It was also announced that disabled and pregnant personnel working in public institutions and organizations will be considered on administrative leave.

The provinces where education has been suspended are as follows: 

TRABZON

In Trabzon, education has been suspended for 1 day for students covered by busing services due to adverse weather conditions.

In a statement made by the Governor's Office, it was stated that all neighborhood roads are open in the city where snowfall is effective.

The statement, which noted that there is a risk of icing tonight in line with meteorological reports, recorded that education has been suspended tomorrow for all primary and secondary schools, special education and rehabilitation centers, and public education centers in Trabzon, only for students who use busing services.

The statement also announced that disabled and pregnant public personnel will be considered on administrative leave on the same day.

HAKKARİ

Due to the snowfall continuing to affect Hakkari, education has been suspended across the province for tomorrow.

In a statement made by the Governor's Office, it was stated that due to adverse weather conditions, education has been suspended on Monday, January 15, across the province—excluding higher education institutions—in nurseries, kindergartens, primary and secondary education institutions, private teaching courses, and Public Education and Guidance and Research Centers.

The statement also announced that disabled and pregnant personnel working in public institutions and organizations will be considered on administrative leave.

GİRESUN

It was reported that education has been suspended tomorrow in some districts of Giresun due to adverse weather conditions.

In a written statement from the Governor's Office, it was stated that due to the risk of snow and icing, education has been suspended tomorrow in all schools in the Çanakçı district, and in village schools in the Espiye, Tirebolu, Görele, and Eynesil districts.

The statement also noted that students covered by busing services in the Espiye, Tirebolu, Görele, Eynesil, Doğankent, and Güce districts will be considered on leave for one day.
