Scuffle between suspects and police in İzmir: 20 criminal records found

In the Konak district of İzmir, teams from the Narcotics Branch Directorate conducted an operation on a house following a tip-off. During the search of the house, a scuffle broke out between the police teams and the suspects. During the incident, one of the suspects opened fire with a handgun at police officer A.C.Ş. The bullets struck the officer in his right leg, knee, and hip.

INTERVENTION FOR THE INJURED POLICE OFFICER

The police officer, who was injured as a result of the gunfire, was treated by medical teams dispatched to the area. Following initial intervention, the injured officer was taken to Tepecik Training and Research Hospital. It was learned that A.C.Ş. is in good condition and his treatment is ongoing.

20 CRIMINAL RECORDS FOUND

In the operation related to the incident, H.E. (38), who has 20 criminal records, and M.E. (31), who has 4 criminal records, were taken into custody. However, I.A. (25), who has 9 criminal records, fled the scene. The police are continuing their efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspect.
