Scuffle breaks out during unauthorized 'trustee' protest
In Antalya, a group attempted to hold an unauthorized protest against the removal of DEM Party Hakkari Mayor Mehmet Sıddık Akış and the appointment of Hakkari Governor Ali Çelik as acting mayor. When the group refused to disperse despite police warnings, a scuffle broke out, resulting in the detention of 6 people.
The Antalya Labor and Democracy Forces, which includes the DEM Party, wanted to hold a statement in front of the Clock Tower to protest the appointment of a trustee to the municipality in Hakkari.

Teams from the Antalya Security Directorate's Security Branch stated that the protest was held without permission and requested that the group disperse.

6 PEOPLE DETAINED
During this time, a scuffle broke out between the group and police teams. 6 people were detained in the ensuing scuffle.

The group later left the area and arrived in front of the DEM Party Antalya Provincial Organization building, where they held their press statement.

It was learned that the detained individuals were released following health checks and identification procedures.
