The fraud case involving former Denizbank branch manager Seçil Erzan, who allegedly collected money from many people in the sports and business worlds under the name of the 'Fatih Terim Fund' with promises of high returns, continues to remain on the agenda.

Seçil Erzan, who faces a total of 66 to 216 years in prison for "qualified fraud" against 18 people and 12 counts of "forgery of private documents," will appear before the judge for the second time tomorrow (January 12).

In the 62-page indictment prepared by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terror and Organized Crime Investigation Bureau, the names listed as complainants include Emre Belözoğlu, Arda Turan, Selçuk İnan, Buse Terim Bahçekapılı, and her husband Volkan Bahçekapılı. The indictment also alleges that Erzan defrauded 18 complainants of a total of 25 million 770 thousand USD and 7 million 384 thousand TL.

According to the report by Hürriyet, 7 people, including footballers Selçuk İnan, Emre Belözoğlu, and Arda Turan, will be heard as complainants, and 11 people will be heard as witnesses during the hearing. Correspondence recovered from broken phones will be questioned both to Seçil Erzan and to the complainants and witnesses.

The first hearing of the case took place on November 20, 2022, and the defendants presented their defenses. In the first hearing, the court released Atilla Yörük and Nazlı Can with a travel ban, but the detention of Seçil Erzan and Ali Yörük continued.

EMRE BELÖZOĞLU AND ARDA TURAN TO TESTIFY

At tomorrow's hearing, Buse Terim Bahçekapılı, Bülent Çeviker, Emre Belözoğlu, İsmail İbrahim Çağlar, Arda Turan, and Selçuk İnan will testify as complainants. Mert Zeydanlı, who was decided to be heard as a witness in the first hearing, will also have his statement taken as a complainant.

ERZAN’S EX-BOYFRIEND TO TESTIFY IN COURT

In addition, Semih Kaya, Tanın Yılmaz, Merve Yılmaz, Nur Erkasap, Mustafa Sefa, Candaş Gürol, Fırat Özdemir, Nilgün Arabacı, Gülsenal Bayramova, Oğuzhan Özerk, and Bülent Onat, who were ordered to be brought by force in the first hearing, will also testify as witnesses. Erzan's ex-boyfriend Candaş Gürol will also testify in court.
