Second hearing in the Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi case
The defendants in the case regarding the murder of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi have appeared in court for the second time. The hearing was held behind closed doors as the defendants are under the age of 18.
The trial regarding the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi in Istanbul continues.
The two defendants, who face up to 24 years in prison for the charge of 'intentional killing of a child' in connection with the death of 15-year-old Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, who was attacked with a knife at a flea market he visited to shop in Kadıköy on January 24, appeared before the judge for the second time.

The hearing held at the Anatolian 2nd Juvenile High Criminal Court was attended by his father Andrea Minguzzi, his mother, cellist Yasemin Akıncılar Minguzzi, his aunt Aylin Akıncılar İyiyazıcıoğlu, CHP Deputy Chair Aylin Nazlı Aka, AKP Istanbul MP Yıldız Konal Süslü, CHP Istanbul MP and Deputy Chair Suat Özçağdaş, and the lawyers for the parties.
Relatives of the family, Zuhal Akman—the mother of university student and motorcycle courier Ata Emre Akman, who was stabbed to death in Balıkesir—and many citizens also came to the courthouse. The defendants, B.B. and U.B., participated in the hearing via the Audio and Visual Information System (SEGBİS).

The hearing is being held behind closed doors because the defendants are under 18 years of age.
Meanwhile, it was heard that mother Yasemin Akıncılar Minguzzi greeted the citizens who came to support her by calling them 'my flower.' Before the hearing, many citizens chanted slogans saying, 'Justice for Mattia Ahmet.'
