Farewell from Selahattin Demirtaş to Sırrı Süreyya Önder: 'Death did not suit you, this wasn't right, brother'
Selahattin Demirtaş, who is imprisoned in Edirne Prison, shared a farewell message for the late Sırrı Süreyya Önder.
DEM Party Istanbul MP and Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Sırrı Süreyya Önder passed away yesterday (May 3) at approximately 16:10 due to multiple organ failure.
While a ceremony was held for Önder at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM), a farewell post came from former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is currently imprisoned in Edirne Prison.
Demirtaş stated, "You don't have just one grave; you will be buried in the hearts of tens of millions. Which one should I visit, to which one should I press my face, brother. Go, may your path be clear, my dear soul, you will always be precious to us. But it's not a smile, it's not a mustache that would suit you; death did not suit you, this wasn't right, brother."
