Service hours updated: Summer schedule period begins at Metro İstanbul

Metro İstanbul, the operator of rail systems serving across Istanbul, has announced that it has switched to the "Summer Schedule" as of today (July 14, 2026) in line with the changing passenger density following the end of the school term and the arrival of the summer season. In the new period, service frequencies and hours have been reorganized according to summer conditions.

In the announcement made via Metro İstanbul's social media account (X), it was reminded that passengers should check the current service hours through digital channels to avoid any inconvenience while planning their trips.

"Dear Istanbulites;

Considering the end of the academic term, the start of the summer holiday season, and the resulting changes in urban passenger mobility, service planning on our lines has been reorganized.

As of today, our Summer Schedule application has begun.

You can track our current service hours, which have been optimized to increase your travel comfort and keep your waiting times at stations to a minimum, in real-time via the Metro İstanbul Mobile Application and the 'Service Hours' section on our official website, metro.istanbul.
