21-year-old Kader Kaya became pregnant by her boyfriend. She lied to her family, who were suspicious of her swelling abdomen, claiming she had gained weight. However, one day the young woman went into labor. She went into the home's bathroom and gave birth by herself while her mother and grandmother were in the house. She then threw the baby from the bathroom window of their 4th-floor apartment into the building's shaft from a height of 30-40 meters. She then continued her life as if nothing had happened.

When a neighbor's item fell into the apartment shaft, they sent their child to retrieve it. After the child saw the baby's body and told their family, the police were called to the scene. The body of the male baby was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute.

DISCOVERED AFTER GOING TO THE HOSPITAL CLAIMING A MISCARRIAGE

According to information obtained by 12punto.com.tr, teams from the Public Security Branch Murder Bureau and the Şişli District Police Department first went to the apartments in the building at the scene. They began searching for individuals who had recently given birth. They also visited the Kaya family's home. However, no one admitted to the baby. While the police continued their investigation at surrounding hospitals, it was discovered that Kader Kaya, who lived in the apartment building where the baby's body was found, had gone to a hospital on November 27, 2023, claiming she had a miscarriage and underwent an examination. Upon this, the police detained Kader Kaya. It was learned that Kaya stated she had become pregnant from a forbidden relationship and said, "I hid it from my family. When suspicions grew, I said I had gained weight. I gave birth in the bathroom. It was stillborn. I threw it away because I was afraid something would happen to me." After her interrogation at the Şişli District Police Department, Kader Kaya was referred to court and was arrested and sent to prison.
