Shocking accusation against police officers who led the Bora Kaplan operation: 'Leaking information to FETÖ'
An indictment has been prepared against former Ankara Deputy Police Chief Murat Çelik and two former Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) managers on charges of "leaking information to a fugitive FETÖ member." The officers have been reassigned to different provinces.
A striking allegation has emerged regarding former Ankara Deputy Police Chief Murat Çelik, former Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch Manager Kerem Gökay Öner, and KOM Deputy Manager Şevket Demircan, who were involved in the Bora Kaplan operation.
According to 12punto columnist and journalist Müyesser Yıldız, the three police officers were named as suspects in an indictment prepared on the grounds that they leaked information to fugitive "FETÖ" member Cevheri Güven. The indictment in question has been submitted to the Ankara 17th High Criminal Court.
The police officers, who were reinstated to their duties, have been reassigned to different provinces. While Murat Çelik was assigned to the General Directorate of Security, Kerem Gökay Öner was sent to Kayseri, and Şevket Demircan was sent to Eskişehir.
It was learned that the indictment contains findings suggesting that the police officers shared details regarding the Bora Kaplan operation with members of the organization.
