Shocking allegation regarding Deputy Minister of Justice's aunt: Goods claimed to be 'destroyed' were sold

It has emerged that Müzeyyen Yazıcı, the aunt of Deputy Minister of Justice Mehmet Yılmaz, and her son Ahmet Yazıcı, made millions of liras by falsely claiming that goods seized at customs had been destroyed and then selling them.

GOODS APPEARING AS ''DESTROYED'' WERE SOLD  

According to the report by Timur Soykan, a major corruption network was established involving goods that were seized under the Anti-Smuggling Law No. 5607 and were required to be destroyed by court order.

According to the investigation file, Müzeyyen Yazıcı, who is the Deputy Provincial Director of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change in Istanbul, her son Ahmet Yazıcı, and four other individuals removed goods from warehouses that were shown as destroyed by court order by preparing forged reports. These goods were then offered for sale on the market, generating millions of liras in revenue.

Products that appeared as destroyed in official records were in reality sold through colluding individuals. The proceeds were then distributed among the suspects.

6 PEOPLE ARRESTED, YAZICI IN PRISON

Following the emergence of the corruption allegations, an operation was conducted in which Müzeyyen Yazıcı and her son Ahmet Yazıcı were detained.

A total of 6 people were arrested and sent to prison as part of the investigation.

It was learned that Müzeyyen Yazıcı is currently being held at the Bakırköy Women's Closed Prison.

Müzeyyen Yazıcı is the aunt of Mehmet Yılmaz, a former Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul and current Deputy Minister of Justice.

According to the information obtained, Mehmet Yılmaz was also informed during the operation. It is alleged that Yılmaz stated he had not spoken to his aunt for over 30 years due to family reasons and that he gave instructions for "the necessary action to be taken" regarding the process.

However, a notable point is that while details of operations against CHP-run municipalities are rapidly reflected in the public eye, this file has been carefully kept hidden.

Investigation documents were not leaked to the press, and no official statement was made regarding the detention and arrest process.

PHOTOS WITH AKP FIGURES EMERGED 

When Müzeyyen Yazıcı was appointed as Deputy Provincial Director in Istanbul in March 2024, she was visited in her office by AKP Provincial Board Member Fatih Dünemez and some party members, and the photos taken were shared on social media.

Today, the same individual is accused of making a multi-million lira scam by selling goods that the state was required to destroy.
