Shocking defense from 14-year-old who stabbed his brother: 'I felt like it, I just wanted to'

The incident occurred at midnight in a house located on Selçuk Boulevard in the Ereğli Kapı neighborhood.

According to the information obtained, an argument broke out for an unknown reason between Furkan Mert A. (19) and his brother Y.A. (14). As the argument escalated into a fight, Y.A. grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed his brother, Furkan Mert A., in the arm.

The fight ended when family elders intervened, and the situation was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

The wounded brother was taken by ambulance to the Emergency Department of Aksaray Training and Research Hospital. While it was learned that the young man, who was taken under treatment there, is in good health, the child who stabbed his brother was detained by police teams at the scene.

Yiğit A., who came to the hospital for a medical check-up, responded to the reporters filming him asking, "Why did you stab your brother?" by saying, "I wanted to, that's why I stabbed him. Exactly, I felt like it, that's why I stabbed him. And that is none of your business." On the other hand, the wounded brother, forgetting his injury while on the stretcher, reacted to the reporters by saying, "Don't film. I will file a complaint against all of you. Publish it, publish the things I cursed at too. You'll be happy, you'll like it."

An investigation into the incident has been launched by the Aksaray Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
