Shocking development at famous model's grave: Head severed
An examination of the grave of famous model Pamela Genini, who was murdered in Italy last year, revealed that the head of the remains was missing; the incident came to light during the transfer of her remains.
A strange incident recently occurred in the town of Strozza, in the province of Bergamo in northern Italy. The grave of model Pamela Genini, who passed away in October of last year, was opened while attempting to move her to another family burial plot. During this transfer, which took place on March 23, 2026, an unusual situation was noticed in the coffin.
Authorities realized that the screws of the coffin had been removed and that the remains had been tampered with. A detailed examination determined that Pamela Genini's head had been severed and removed, and that attempts had been made to cover up the traces of this act.
In the investigation launched by the prosecutor's office, it was concluded that operations such as lifting the heavy grave cover and opening the coffin could not have been carried out by a single person. Therefore, the possibility that multiple people were involved in the incident is being investigated.
The trial of Genini, who was murdered on October 29, 2025, by her 52-year-old boyfriend Gianluca Soncin, is still ongoing. With this shocking incident at the cemetery, those conducting the investigation stated that they could seek up to 7 years in prison for those responsible for the crimes of "desecration of a corpse" and "theft."
Authorities are currently evaluating security camera footage from around the cemetery and fingerprint evidence to shed light on the incident.
