In the incident that took place in Esenler, Istanbul, it is alleged that Muhittin Çavdaroğlu, who owns a dessert shop, heard arguing sounds from the street while sitting in his workplace. The shop owner went outside and saw 4 people arguing and fighting on the street. One of the attackers attacked Çavdaroğlu with a knife, saying, 'What are you looking at?'

Muhittin Çavdaroğlu was wounded by the knife blow he received to his head in the attack. While the shop owner was left covered in blood, the suspects fled the scene rapidly. Citizens who witnessed the incident notified the police and medical teams.

20 stitches were applied to the head of Muhittin Çavdaroğlu, who was taken to the hospital. The shop owner later went to the Esenler Police Station and filed a complaint. The moment of the incident was reflected on the security camera.

Describing the attack he experienced, Muhittin Çavdaroğlu said, “I was sitting in my workplace at night, and I heard the sounds of a fight coming from outside. My nephew has a market on the corner. I wanted to go out and check if it had anything to do with him. When I went out, walked to the corner, and came back, they said to me, 'What are you looking at, man?' and attacked me while cursing. He attacked my head with the knife in his hand. My veins were damaged. At that moment, they escaped from us” he said.

“I REQUEST THIS FROM OUR STATE; THEY SHOULD NOT LET THESE TYPES OF PEOPLE OUT ON THE STREETS”

Demanding that the attackers be punished, Çavdaroğlu stated, “The interesting part of the incident is that they fled from here in the same vehicle. I request this from our state; they should not let these types of people out on the streets. We have our children and families on the streets. We think that these people, who strike such a lethal blow just because of 'What are you looking at?', will harm our children. I don't know them at all, they are people I saw for the first time. We saw they were fighting among themselves, I turned back, and then they attacked me” he said.
The police have launched an investigation to catch the suspects.
