Simultaneous FETÖ operation in 6 provinces: 13 detention warrants issued
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau has ordered the detention of 13 suspects as part of an investigation into FETÖ, with operations to be carried out across 6 provinces.
In accordance with the orders and instructions issued by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Terror Crimes Investigation Bureau as part of the ongoing investigation into the FETÖ/PDY armed terrorist organization; following MASAK (Financial Crimes Investigation Board) reviews, as well as technical and physical surveillance conducted to uncover acts of terrorism financing within the FETÖ/PDY armed terrorist organization's corporate structure and the activities of said companies, it has been decided to simultaneously detain 13 suspects starting today across 6 provinces, with Ankara as the hub. Evidence was obtained indicating that these suspects transferred funds sourced from abroad through companies operating overseas to organization members or their relatives who had previously been subject to judicial proceedings.
It was reported that operations to apprehend the suspects and transfer them to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office are being carried out by teams from the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Counter-Terrorism Branch.
