The General Directorate of Meteorology (MGM) has issued its first snowfall warning of the year. In its 5-day weather forecast report, it was stated that light snowfall is expected in 8 provinces on Sunday. The report indicates that the precipitation is expected to reach city centers.

With the rapid drop in temperatures in mid-November, while rain has been effective in the west of Turkey, warnings regarding snowfall have begun to increase in the eastern regions. According to the statement by the MGM, the provinces where snowfall is expected on November 16, 2025, are listed as follows:

Erzurum

Muş

Bitlis

Ardahan

Kars

Ağrı

Van

Hakkari

Meteorology experts announced that the snowfall will be effective in city centers as well as in higher elevations. However, the precipitation is expected to be short-lived and light. Following the snowfall on November 16 in the mentioned provinces, sunny weather will prevail at the beginning of the week.
