Snowfall expected in 22 cities: Temperatures will drop suddenly!
The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning for snowfall in 22 cities on Wednesday. Temperatures are expected to drop by as much as 30 degrees.
The snowfall that affected Turkey throughout last February had briefly given way to summer-like temperatures. However, the General Directorate of Meteorology has stated that a cold wave will return, issuing a snowfall warning for 22 cities for Wednesday, March 19.
According to weather forecast reports, temperatures in many cities will drop by 25 to 30 degrees within 3 to 4 days. As the new week begins, a northeasterly wind will be effective in coastal regions, and rain is expected across the country on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, the cities where snowfall is expected include Bursa, Kütahya, Uşak, Afyonkarahisar, Eskişehir, Düzce, Bolu, Ankara, Karabük, Kastamonu, Çankırı, Kırıkkale, Kırşehir, Çorum, Yozgat, Amasya, Tokat, Ardahan, Kars, Erzurum, Ağrı, and Bilecik.
According to the 5-day weather forecast report published on the General Directorate of Meteorology's website, the sudden drop in air temperatures and the snowfall create a situation that requires caution, especially for citizens living in these cities.
