So-called high-ranking commander of the PKK/YPG terrorist organization captured

The Tekirdağ Provincial Gendarmerie Command has captured an individual codenamed 'Leyd,' who operated as a so-called high-ranking commander within the PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG terrorist organization in Syria.

The Tekirdağ Provincial Gendarmerie Command continues its efforts against the activities of the terrorist organization.

FOLLOWED FOR DAYS

During the operations conducted by the teams, it was determined that the individual had entered the country illegally, first arriving in Istanbul and subsequently moving to Tekirdağ, where they began working at a factory. The suspect was meticulously followed by the teams for days.

As a result of the surveillance conducted by the teams, the organization member, identified as M.E.H. and codenamed 'Leyd,' who operated as a so-called high-ranking commander within the PKK/KCK-PYD/YPG terrorist organization in Syria, was captured and taken into custody in the Veliköy neighborhood of the Çerkezköy district in Tekirdağ.

It was learned that the terrorist organization member had received training in heavy weaponry, helicopters, and tanks.

Following the procedures at the gendarmerie, the captured suspect was referred to judicial authorities, arrested, and sent to the Tekirdağ Penal Institution.
