Social media influencer headbutts woman during traffic dispute! Her penalty has been determined
Social media influencer Hülya Sönmez, who was caught on security cameras attacking a woman she argued with in traffic in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, has been fined 180,000 TL following an investigation by police teams. Sönmez's driver's license was suspended for 60 days, and her vehicle was banned from traffic.
A traffic dispute in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul resulted in a physical assault. It was learned that Hülya Sönmez, who creates content on social media under the name "Kelebek Sarsılmaz," argued with another female driver over yielding the right of way.
The moments when Sönmez got out of her vehicle as the argument escalated and headbutted the female driver were recorded by nearby security cameras. It was stated that following the footage, the female driver went to the police station and filed a complaint.
Launching an investigation following the complaint, the Arnavutköy District Police Department Traffic Bureau teams examined the security camera recordings. As a result of the examinations, Hülya Sönmez was apprehended.
The social media influencer, who was determined to have gotten out of her vehicle to carry out the attack, was issued a total administrative traffic fine of 180,000 TL. It was also learned that her driver's license was confiscated for 60 days and the vehicle she was driving was banned from traffic for 60 days.
On the other hand, the security camera footage of the moment of the attack shows Sönmez getting out of her vehicle and attacking the female driver.
