Some roads in Istanbul to be closed to traffic: Here are the alternative routes

As part of the commemoration events to be held for the 19th anniversary of the attack in which Hrant Dink lost his life, some routes in Şişli will be closed to vehicle traffic tomorrow. Alternative routes have been suggested for drivers.

Some roads in Istanbul to be closed to traffic: Here are the alternative routes

Due to the commemoration programs to be held in Istanbul tomorrow, there will be disruptions in transportation on some major arteries. Within the scope of security measures, traffic regulations will be implemented in Şişli, and some roads will be temporarily closed to use starting from the morning hours.

According to the information provided by the authorities, for the security of the areas where the events will take place and to ensure the comfortable movement of participants, Halaskargazi Street from the Osmanbey junction towards Taksim, the intersection with Valikonağı Street towards the Mecidiyeköy direction, and the sections of Ergenekon and Halaskargazi Streets extending from the Pangaltı junction towards Mecidiyeköy will be closed to two-way vehicle traffic.

In addition, the entrance point of Ergenekon Street from Tavukçu Fethi Street, the parts where Saksı Street and Zafer Street intersect with Halaskargazi Street, the exit to Mecidiyeköy Square, the passage from İzzetpaşa Street towards Taksim, the route starting from the Halaskargazi Street Şişli Mosque junction towards Taksim, and the traffic flow continuing from the Büyükdere Street İstiklal Street junction towards Taksim are also among the areas that will be kept closed for a temporary period.

HERE ARE THE ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

To ensure traffic flow, alternative routes will be open for use. Drivers are advised to prefer Valikonağı, Rumeli, Abide-i Hürriyet, and Ergenekon streets.

Authorities warned that there may be congestion in the area, especially during the morning and afternoon hours. Citizens are requested to head towards alternative routes and follow the announcements.
