Son of AKP member exploits Esenyurt trustee appointment! Collected money with job promises...

A criminal complaint has been filed against M.C.E., the son of I.E., who previously served as deputy mayor in the AKP-run municipality of Ordu's Çatalpınar district and is currently a municipal council member, on allegations that he collected money from at least eight people with the promise of securing them jobs at the Esenyurt Municipality.

TENS OF THOUSANDS OF LIRA UNDER THE GUISE OF JOB PROMISES

It is alleged that M.C.E., who worked as a contract employee at the Esenyurt Municipality Culture Directorate, claimed that new positions would be opened following the appointment of a trustee to the CHP-run municipality, and collected amounts ranging from 25,000 to 60,000 Turkish Lira from individuals with the promise of "permanent employment."

MONEY FLOWED INTO HIS ACCOUNT FOR MONTHS

According to the victims' bank records, it was stated that the payments in question were sent regularly to M.C.E.'s account for approximately six months. It was noted that during this period, none of the applications resulted in employment, and the deposited funds were not refunded.

APPLICATION TO THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE

Following this, the victims filed a criminal complaint with the prosecutor's office against M.C.E. and his father, I.E., on charges of "qualified fraud." The petitions included information that the payments were requested under the pretext of covering medical reports, criminal record processing, and administrative fees.

"I AM FILING A COMPLAINT EVEN IF IT IS MY SON"

Speaking to Onur Durmuş from BirGün, AKP council member İ.E. stated, "I will go to the police station tomorrow and report everyone, including my son, for fraud. Even if it is my own son who made a mistake, he should face the consequences."

M.C.E., meanwhile, admitted that the money was deposited into his account but claimed that these transactions were carried out at the request of a friend and that he was merely an intermediary. The victims stated that they have initiated legal proceedings with correspondence records and bank receipts, asserting that they were defrauded.

"BANKING ISSUE" DEFENSE

M.C.E., who is accused of taking money from eight people with promises of employment, did not deny that the payments were deposited into his account. M.C.E. said, "A friend of mine took money from many people. Because he had a problem with his bank, all the money was deposited into my account. As soon as the money hit my account, I sent it to my friend. I entered into a dialogue with these people to cover the debts my friend incurred, and I wanted to return their money."
