SONAR Research owner Bayrakçı: We are initiating legal proceedings
Hakan Bayrakçı, owner of SONAR Research, who faced harsh criticism bordering on insults from the government front and AKP voters for predicting that İmamoğlu would win the Istanbul elections in his survey results, has made a notable statement.
Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was shown as the frontrunner by many polling companies, managed to cross the finish line first in Istanbul according to unofficial election results.
Hakan Bayrakçı, owner of SONAR Research, one of the polling companies that predicted İmamoğlu would win, had been fiercely criticized by AKP voters over the results he announced.
Stating that he was subjected to intense insults over the results he provided, Bayrakçı made a new statement once the election results became clear. Claiming that the reactions shown toward him were unfair, Bayrakçı wrote the following:

"The Istanbul election result has been determined. As it has for years, SONAR has once again informed the public correctly. We met the reasonable objections made to our survey before the election with understanding.
However, we are initiating the necessary legal proceedings for the slander and insults."
