Special operations police officer commits suicide in front of AKP Headquarters

It has been learned that a special operations police officer committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with his service pistol in front of the AKP Headquarters building at approximately 14:45. It was reported that the officer in question lost his life.

In the incident that occurred today around 14:45, a special operations police officer named Ebubekir A. ended his life with his own weapon.

It was reported that the officer in question died at the scene.

It is alleged that Ebubekir A. had been suffering from health problems for some time.

Meanwhile, a statement regarding the matter was issued by the General Directorate of Security. The statement included the following expressions:

"Our police officer E.A., who was serving at the Ankara Special Operations Branch Directorate, committed suicide with his service pistol today at approximately 15:00. Two inspectors have been assigned by our General Directorate of Security regarding this tragic incident. We wish God's mercy upon our police officer and extend our condolences to his grieving family and our Police Organization."
