Statement from AFAD regarding forest fires in 5 provinces: How many people were evacuated?
AFAD has issued a statement regarding the forest fires in 5 provinces. The statement from AFAD said, "In the intervention efforts for the fires in our provinces of İzmir, Aydın, Bolu, Muğla, and Manisa, 90 aircraft, 4,717 personnel, and 1,218 vehicles are involved. A total of 3,583 of our citizens have been evacuated to safe areas as a precautionary measure."
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported that 3,583 people have been evacuated as a precautionary measure due to forest fires in İzmir, Aydın, Bolu, Muğla, and Manisa.
In a statement made on AFAD's social media account, it was stated that intervention efforts are continuing uninterrupted by air and land with all relevant institutions to bring the fires ongoing in different parts of the country under control.
The statement noted the following:
