Statement from Akın Gürlek on 'investigations in Istanbul'

Gürlek made statements regarding the ongoing investigations in Istanbul. While stating that the investigation processes "will continue exactly as they are," Gürlek said he did not want to answer questions about the "oath fight" that took place in Parliament.

Minister Gürlek answered questions from Murat Kelkitlioğlu, who was a guest on the program broadcast on tv100.

HOW WILL THE PROCESS PROCEED IN THE INVESTIGATIONS IN ISTANBUL FROM NOW ON?

Responding to a question regarding the investigations he conducted in Istanbul during his time as Chief Public Prosecutor, Gürlek explained how the process would proceed from here on.

Gürlek said, "The existing processes in drug and money laundering investigations will continue exactly as they are. The investigations are continuing meticulously and decisively. There will be no disruption in the investigations."

HE DID NOT WANT TO ANSWER THE QUESTION ABOUT THE "OATH FIGHT"

When asked, "Will you have an assessment regarding what happened in the Turkish Grand National Assembly yesterday?", Akın Gürlek left the question unanswered, saying, "I do not want to respond to these topics."
