Statement from Cevdet Yılmaz regarding the CHP convention lawsuit! 'There are two alternatives...'

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz answered questions about the agenda during a live broadcast he attended.

Speaking on TV100, Yılmaz also made evaluations regarding the convention lawsuit against the CHP.

"We are not talking about a closure case or anything like that. There are two alternatives," said Yılmaz, adding, "Either the judiciary will say, 'there is no problem.' It will say that this current administration should continue. Or what will it say? 'The CHP organizations will again form an interim administration. The CHP organizations, the CHP delegates, the CHP members will determine new names for their administrative positions.' So, frankly, I do not find it right to paint a picture as if it is the end of the world."

Yılmaz's statements regarding the CHP's convention lawsuit are as follows:

"It is a debate within the CHP itself. It is not an AK Party member who is complaining. It is within the CHP and, ultimately, it is a judicial process. We have to wait for the decision the judiciary will make. In the end, the independent judiciary is the one that will best judge what is in accordance with the law and what is not. However, in any case, we must underline this as well. We are not talking about a closure case or anything like that. There are two alternatives. Either the judiciary will say, 'there is no problem.' It will say that this current administration should continue. Or what will it say? 'The CHP organizations will again form an interim administration.

The CHP organizations, the CHP delegates, the CHP members will determine new names for their administrative positions.' So, frankly, I do not find it right to paint a picture as if it is the end of the world. In any case, I see it as an issue that the CHP will resolve within itself. But I cannot know the court's decision. That is the discretion of the judiciary; we will all wait and see. However, I want to underline again. The CHP should not reflect its internal conflicts onto the social sphere."
