Statement from DEM Party: İmralı delegation to meet with Öcalan within a few days

DEM Party Group Deputy Chair Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit announced that the İmralı delegation will meet with Öcalan within a few days.

Stating that "preparations are being completed," Koçyiğit said, "The timeline for the historic call to be made together with Mr. Öcalan will also be clarified." 

Koçyiğit's statement is as follows: 

"Our delegation will go to İmralı within a few days. We expect the necessary applications regarding this to be made within a few days, today or tomorrow. Preparations for the application are being completed, and during the visit to be made to İmralı, information regarding the visits made in South Kurdistan and the discussions held will be conveyed to Mr. Öcalan, and after this meeting, the timeline for the historic call to be made together with Mr. Öcalan will be clarified, and in a very short time, it will be the beginning of a new era in the resolution of the Kurdish issue, which has been going on for over 100 years, and the Kurdish issue, which has been marked by conflict for over 40 years. We also know that that historic call will come."
