The lifeless bodies of 2 workers trapped in a collapse at a private coal mine in the Gelik town of Zonguldak's Kilimli district have been recovered.

Three workers had been trapped in the collapse at a private coal mine in the Gelik town of Kilimli district. Following the report, rescue teams from the Turkish Hard Coal Enterprises (TTK) arrived at the scene quickly, and as a result of their efforts, İsmet Kabuk was rescued with injuries.

As a result of the teams' efforts, the lifeless bodies of Veysel Oruçoğlu and Ziya Kiret, who were trapped under the collapse, were reached.

Following 7 hours of work, the lifeless body of 46-year-old Veysel Oruçoğlu was removed from the mine and taken to the morgue by ambulance.

Statement from Minister Gürlek on Zonguldak: Expert Committee Appointed

Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek announced on his X account that an investigation into the collapse was immediately launched by the Zonguldak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

It was reported that two public prosecutors have been assigned to the investigation, and an expert committee consisting of mining engineers has been dispatched to the site for technical examination.
