Statement from the Ministry of National Defense: 19 targets destroyed in northern Iraq
The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that air operations were conducted in the Metina, Gara, Avaşin, Hakurk, and Kandil regions of northern Iraq, and that 19 targets were destroyed.
According to a written statement from the Ministry of National Defense, air operations were carried out on October 25 at 21:00 against terrorist targets in the Metina, Gara, Avaşin, Hakurk, and Kandil regions of northern Iraq, in accordance with the right to self-defense arising from Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, with the aim of neutralizing PKK/KCK and other terrorist elements and eliminating attacks against Turkey from northern Iraq.
A total of 19 targets, consisting of caves, bunkers, shelters, and warehouses used by the separatist terrorist organization and assessed to contain terrorists at the leadership level, were destroyed in the air operations.
"A LARGE NUMBER OF TERRORISTS HAVE BEEN NEUTRALIZED"
The written statement, which emphasized determination in the fight against terrorism, noted: "In the operations conducted, a large number of terrorists have been neutralized using the maximum amount of domestic and national ammunition.
The Turkish Armed Forces, which emerged from the heart of our noble nation, will continue the fight against terrorism with determination and resolve for the survival and security of our country and our nation, just as in the past, until not a single terrorist remains.
During these operations, every measure was taken to ensure that innocent civilians, friendly elements, historical and cultural assets, and the environment were not harmed," the statement said.
