Statement from Naci Görür on the Çorum earthquake
According to AFAD data, a 4.4 magnitude earthquake occurred in Çorum. Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made statements regarding the earthquake on his X account. Görür stated, "These faults are faults branching off from the NAF."
AFAD determined the Çorum earthquake to be 4.4, while the Kandilli Observatory reported the earthquake as 4.7. Following the earthquake, Prof. Dr. Naci Görür made a statement on his X account.

"Friends, a 4.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Amasya-Merzifon/Mahmutlu region. The earthquake was on a 30 km long strike-slip fault near Mahmutlu. This fault intersects the Merzifon fault at a 45-degree angle. These faults are faults branching off from the NAF. THE NAF DOES NOT PRODUCE EARTHQUAKES HERE, BUT the branches separating from it have the capacity to do so. With love"
