Statement from the Sakarya Governor's Office regarding the odor in the city!
The Sakarya Governor's Office announced that an odor has been detected in some parts of the city that does not pose a threat to public health.
An odor of unknown origin has spread across several neighborhoods in the Erenler district of Sakarya.
In a written statement issued by the Governor's Office, it was reported that citizens have been filing complaints with the 112 Emergency Call Center due to the odor occurring in the Erenler region.
The statement, which noted that initial assessments by AFAD teams have determined the odor does not pose a threat to public health, included the following remarks:
"Under the coordination of our Governor's Office, a 25-person team consisting of the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, the Metropolitan Municipality, the Erenler Municipality, and AFAD has been formed, and the source of the odor is being investigated immediately. Further detailed information will be shared with the public again once the source of the odor is identified."
