Statement from the DMM regarding Hakan Fidan
The Presidency's Directorate of Communications Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) has announced that posts shared by propaganda accounts of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG, which claimed to belong to Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, do not reflect the truth.
In the statement issued by the Center for Combating Disinformation, it was recalled that during his phone call with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Minister Fidan emphasized that the terrorist organization PKK/YPG would not be allowed to find refuge in Syria.
The statement, which conveyed that Fidan expressed his support for the new administration in Syria in its efforts to ensure the country's territorial integrity and security, noted the following:
"Minister Fidan, contrary to what is claimed in the posts, did not target civilians of any ethnic origin or belief, but directly identified terrorist organizations by name. Do not give credence to baseless claims put forward by terrorist organizations to manipulate public opinion."
