Statement from the Governor's Office regarding the heavy rainfall in Ankara
Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin announced that all teams are in the field and on duty due to the heavy rainfall affecting the capital, and that there has been no loss of life so far.
The heavy rainfall that began in the evening hours in Ankara negatively affected daily life.
Due to the precipitation, which caused disruptions across the city, underpasses and numerous streets and avenues were flooded, and the ground floors of many homes and businesses were inundated.
In a post on his social media account, Governor Şahin stated, "All our teams are in the field and on duty to ensure our citizens do not suffer due to the heavy rainfall that occurred in our province this evening.
There has been no loss of life so far," he said.
