Statement from the Polat couple's lawyer regarding the court process: 'They have been released'
Hüseyin Kaya, the lawyer for Engin Polat and Dilan Polat, who were arrested on charges including money laundering, fraud, tax evasion, and establishing a criminal organization, has made a statement on his social media account regarding the court process.
Developments and the trial process concerning Dilan Polat, who was arrested and sent to prison on November 5 due to numerous accusations against her, are being closely followed.
Hüseyin Kaya, the lawyer handling the Polat couple's case, is keeping the public informed about developments in the trial process through posts on his social media account.
In his latest post, Kaya stated that the tax charges against all suspects in the Polat file have been dropped. Hüseyin Kaya included the following statements in his post:
"All suspects in the Polat file have been released regarding the tax charges. For other charges, the final assessment from MASAK is awaited."
THEY WILL CONTINUE TO REMAIN IN PRISON
The monthly review of the detained defendants, including Dilan and Engin Polat, was completed by the Duty Court. The court decided to release the defendants from the tax charges.
The court ruled that the defendants' detention shall continue regarding the illegal betting charges until the MASAK report is received.
The Polats will continue to remain in prison until the report is received.
