Statement from the Tunceli Governor's Office regarding the fire

The Tunceli Governor's Office has released a statement regarding the fire that occurred in the Çemişgezek district. The Governor's Office stated that a potential disaster was prevented through the intervention carried out.

"A POTENTIAL DISASTER HAS BEEN AVERTED"

In the statement made by the Tunceli Governor's Office, it was said: "The fire that occurred at the village mosque in Cihangir village of Çemişgezek district on 21.04.2024 at approximately 04:24, which is assessed to have started from the electrical line, was extinguished as a result of the intensive efforts of the Tunceli Provincial Gendarmerie Command personnel who arrived rapidly at the scene by helicopter, and subsequently the fire brigade teams belonging to the Çemişgezek and Erzincan Kemaliye Municipalities, and a potential disaster was averted in the village, which consists of 80 households with adjacent houses. There was no loss of life in the incident, and the village mosque and one house have become unusable."
